Love, love, love, that black cherry top with the terracotta skirt! So pretyt.

I used to feel that fashion blogs weren't relatable particularly in the context of blogs like The Sartorialist -- I mean, a lot of those men and women are coming out of Paris fashion week shows and so on. I always loved seeing them, but it took me a while to see them as relevant to me. The fact is, though, that there are always concepts that you can take away -- polka dots with stripes, oxfords with a flouncy skirt. I'm unlikely to really replicate any of what I see but I get terrific ideas from it all the time. It's all about inspiration!

I think I agree with a previous commentor that some bloggers can seem more unapproachable or "uppity" but one reason why yours is one of my fave blogs is because you do seem approachable & down-to-earth. I like when I see items repeated in your outfits because that really shows us how you can work with what you've got and not have to shop every single day. In the real world you have to be able to wear pieces more than once so why should your blog project anything else?

Some times it's a hit or miss with coordinating an outfit, but clothes are fun and people should experiment with anything they may already have laying around.

I'm so glad you posted 5 diff. options with multiple colors all in very opposite ends of the spectrum, it really opens up to see that with fashion "anything goes". Great job Mrs. Guacamole!

I love this idea! These are great looks, and that skirt looks fabulous on you. You've got an amazing wardrobe, and you're really good and mixing and matching it up -- I think it's more important to be able to see a blogger work with what she's got than relate to the actual pieces she's working with. It gives me ideas about how I can re-work what's in my closet to create totally new looks.

I love blogging and totally agree about having met so many fabulous people through it. Also, there are tons of bloggers out there whose style I love even if it's different from mine but there is still plenty of inspiration. For example, I could never pull of the skirt you are wearing (I'm 5'9") but I love the way you accessorized it differently particulary with the pops of color from the belts.

I agree...it is so fun to have "met" so many people from all over. I associate cities/states with bloggers now! Or if I am out shopping I will say something like "That is Elle's shirt" and my husband knows it is an online friend...sometimes he even knows exactly who I am talking about.

To the outfits...that skirt is such a lovely color on you! I regret not picking up that J. Crew belt!

I loved reading this Chloe. I follow all of the girls you mentioned and completely agree that they are tremendous sources of inspiration. I do think that sometimes fashion bloggers can come across as a little uppity (is that a word?) If a girl is decked out head to toe in high end designers, if everything she is wearing comes "courtesy of" a company, if you know she lives in an area where it's freezing balls and yet she's got on a really extravagant outfit and she's OUTSIDE, then I have to wonder if she is being real with us. However, I love fashion because it is all inpirational to me. It truly is an art, and who am I to question what another girl wears? I love it all! Even if it doesn't suit my tastes, or even if there is no way in hell I could afford her clothes, it's still inspiration. I started beauty and fashion blogging over two years ago, and I know that being part of this community has changed my wardrobe and my confidence in a positive way. I love blogging! And I'm happy others do too :)
