Outfit Of The Day (Golden Twist)

Happy Friday, woohoo.  A quick outfit post for today; as you guys have probably caught on I went a little bit crazy with Ann Taylor LOFT's recent promotions. Lack of impulse control says who?

Casual date night with Husband tonight.  I haven't been feeling so hot (for oh, the past year or so, what's new?) and the movie theater is always cold, so a hum drum cardigan + flats it is.

My metallic Marcie makes me feel better about it, as any good purse should. While my outfit is screaming, "Hi! I might look like the type to be in bed most nights by 9pm!" my purse is screaming, "But sometimes I still stay up until 10:30! After the news, sometimes! I swear!"

That's a very good purse:

Cardigan: J Crew Trifle Cardigan (similar style here) (and here, on sale!)
Top: Ann Taylor Loft Twisted Neck Top in Autumn Yellow (buy it here) (similar color tank here in "gold digger")
Necklace: Urban Outfitters (buy it here)
Bag: Chloe Marcie Small Metallic Satchel in Gunmetal (buy it here) (similar color bag here, under $100)
Shoes: Ann Taylor Loft Fran Brooch Suede Flat (buy them here)

Also, because Nordstrom's Anniversary Sale is almost over (only 3 days left!):

The Miss Sixty Harper Boots; I highly, highly, hiiiighly recommend them.  They're super comfy, have a heel that is just high enough to give me a bit of height without being painful, and they fit well with jeans tucked inside.  I'm 5'2" with a paltry 29.5" inseam, and the boot itself actually measures about 19" in height total (including the heel). I sized up to a size 38 (I'm usually a size 7 to a 7.5) because as the website says- Miss Sixty (always) runs small. You'll be seeing a lot of these on this blog this winter (albeit, probably not with shorts) (oh darn, huh).

Have a good weekend, everyone! ♥

  7. Clhoe, I need to tell you something!
I am renewing my closet, based on some outfits that I saw here!
You use a lot things that I would not use (I think is beautiful, but I know it's not for me). But you know mix and match clothes as anyone. And I got some items and i put in a list: "What do I need."
I dont know buy basic things (like a white shirt, shorts, skirts with one color!!! I always bought everything printed or too much colored and it is logical those things dont match), then i took yours ideas to set up my closet and take things that match more times than once!

In my country, not too cold as there (Brazil) .. so I took some cardigans (because they are smooth/light).. but i need some jacket. I have two(dark and light jeans). Now i want one more.
And I wanted to ask you for an advice on what color I should buy. I know I should buy neutral colors! Soon I am in doubt about nude / beige, military green, black, brown, navy. Can you help me? I know you have all these colors of jackets ;)) I wanted to know what else would help me build looks nice. I did not want black because I'll probably buy a leather. What do you think? I know that you are no "personal style guide" but I confess it is you who are helping me to buy better things and I enjoy it more!
I even did a montage of classic products they need.

I'm sorry if I'm being very inconvenient but I really trust you!
Would you like to see the picture I did with the clothes? i can send you the link if you want!

    Love

  10. Oh wow! This outfit is amazing. I LOVE the Loft top. The color, the twisted neck design, and the way you pair your necklace with it. Everything is just done perfectly! I agree with you on the bag also. It's awesome! Just became a big fan of yours and following. :)

  17. Ohh...we're the same height! I thought you looked tiny! Isn't it sooo hard to find tall boots that don't go past your knees? Drives me crazy.

Not sure if you read comments on your old posts. But I think I mentioned that I found your blog from the wrong place. I actually found your blog via Elle Sees. Eh, not that it really matters...
