It's Wednesday Want time! This is what I am making grabby hands at during this very last week of 2009. I mean, I can't ask for anything more than I've already received/acquired this year- I'm a very lucky little lady, yes I am- but that doesn't mean I still can't look. Right? Right.
And I mean, I would hate for you all to be misled into believing I actually buy everything I post about, because I certainly don't. Ha ha ha, no way jose. That's why I have this little weekly feature of things I want, but don't actually buy.
'Cuz I only really buy, maybe, you know- 75% of it.
(Ha ha ha KIDDING. I am kidding. Although Husband asked me a few months ago if J. Crew had secretly set up a warehouse distribution center in our house against his better knowledge and I had to blink and play all startled-and-dumb-like. What? J Crew? Noooo.)
(Shopbop maybe, but not J. Crew.)
(At least Husband doesn't do what my dad used to do to me, which was apprehend the shit I'd order from the mailman before I was even aware of its existence, hastily wrap it up, and then present it in some sort of bizarre re-gifting ritual where he'd give it to me as a birthday and/or Christmas gift. Oh, surprise! Happy Birthday! You ordered that seven months ago.)
(That was before we had high-tech UPS tracking. Also, Husband hasn't quite gotten that plucky yet.)
(Although Husband, I AM SO ON TO YOU. DON'T YOU DARE.)
(And I'm also hoping that 2010 will be the year that Shopbop officially changes their name to Shopblop, because that's what I keep typing and let's be honest- it's way cooler.)
(I should always be in charge of naming things, obviously, as I do have a chihuahua named Kitty.)
(Short for Kathryn.)
(Whatever. Don't give me that look.)
(Shopblop!)
OKAY:
Oh, yeah, right. Dress! Pretty. A bit too much, perhaps, into the always-a-bridesmaid-and-never-a-bride-zone for me. But still. Pretty.
But oh, okay- it's neat! I just like looking at it, even if I secretly think it's ridiculously overpriced and that iPods are the work of the devil (or someone that obviously has a lot patience) (and/or does not have arthritis in their hands) (and/or a Canadian)( a Canadian wearing polka dots) and so yes.
Want it. Cannot have it. Woo.
PS coworker- Petunia is so easy to take care of. She likes cheese and crackers and growling at small children. See? Give her those two (three?) things and she's happy. Easy. :)

Chloe, Colorful Colorado. 5'8" (only) when teetering in her highest 6 inch Miu Miu platform heels. Likes fashion, broccoli, ice cream, clarifying that she does not eat ice cream with her broccoli as to not cause worldwide panic, hoarding beauty products & pretty shoes, tickle fights with her husband (he would like to clarify that he does not like them back, OKAY?), anything covered in sprinkles, any alcoholic beverage made with Tang, live music, clicking the camera, sarcasm fonts, vases stuffed full of pretty flowers, and laughing hard until her belly hurts. Wants an adventurous life, lots of puppies, to never obtusely wander around with her fly down, and to be an iconic Diane Von Furstenberg wrap dress with a bright, festive print when she grows up. This is where she bravely documents it all. (
