It's a bit funny to look back at the pictures and wonder- what was going through my head at that moment? Did I have any idea what was going to happen later that week, that I was going to rip that same skirt clean up the back while climbing into a car to go to a funeral? Nope. I had no idea. Right then I was just a silly girl (woman?) (ugh) (in desperate need of some highlights, thanks) taking pretty little petty pictures in front of a camera. I had no idea where I would be (or rather, wouldn't be after I ripped it) (god damn you, Banana Republic) wearing that same skirt a mere five days later.
There's a lot I would perhaps do differently, I think sometimes- both in life and oftentimes with the outfit. But it has a good structure to it. The outfit, I mean. The bold pops of red with the colors of the locket made me so happy at that moment, even though it now pains me to think that that week ended in a way that was anything but.
Even if you have SUPER FUN STRIPEY SHOES (and a wonderful fam) (and a super awesome best husband everrr) (and two stinky chuckleheaded chihuahuas to cuddle with), even if you can't really smell the roses because your rose is in the form of a bright red belt-
some days must be dark and dreary.
Even if.
And that's okay.

Chloe, Colorful Colorado. 5'8" (only) when teetering in her highest 6 inch Miu Miu platform heels. Likes fashion, broccoli, ice cream, clarifying that she does not eat ice cream with her broccoli as to not cause worldwide panic, hoarding beauty products & pretty shoes, tickle fights with her husband (he would like to clarify that he does not like them back, OKAY?), anything covered in sprinkles, any alcoholic beverage made with Tang, live music, clicking the camera, sarcasm fonts, vases stuffed full of pretty flowers, and laughing hard until her belly hurts. Wants an adventurous life, lots of puppies, to never obtusely wander around with her fly down, and to be an iconic Diane Von Furstenberg wrap dress with a bright, festive print when she grows up. This is where she bravely documents it all. (
