Okay, readers, a serious question- when did AE start to get...well, kind of pretty? And sure, there is a heavy emphasis on "kind of"-they still have a way to go, what with this delicate gold brocade dress being mixed in with mangled looking rugby hoodies and studded cable-knit sweaters (yeah, no thanks- is it just me, or am I the only one thinking cold metal studs against my skin during the winter would not be the comfiest thing ever?).
But I grabbed these as-soft-and-squishy-as-a-great-pair-of-slippers AE Herringbone flats during a recent trip to the mall and have found myself wearing them, oh, all the time. And how about these plum pintucked flats? Eek! A little bow! So pretty!
I think I might soon find myself at the local mall soon to try this gorgeous little dress on. I'm already imagining it with a pair of black J. Crew pointelle tights (yes!), a pair of prissy purple pumps, and a smug-yet-demure smile. This is an interesting kind-of-start-to kind-of-pretty, American Eagle, yes indeed.

Chloe, Colorful Colorado. 5'8" (only) when teetering in her highest 6 inch Miu Miu platform heels. Likes fashion, broccoli, ice cream, clarifying that she does not eat ice cream with her broccoli as to not cause worldwide panic, hoarding beauty products & pretty shoes, tickle fights with her husband (he would like to clarify that he does not like them back, OKAY?), anything covered in sprinkles, any alcoholic beverage made with Tang, live music, clicking the camera, sarcasm fonts, vases stuffed full of pretty flowers, and laughing hard until her belly hurts. Wants an adventurous life, lots of puppies, to never obtusely wander around with her fly down, and to be an iconic Diane Von Furstenberg wrap dress with a bright, festive print when she grows up.
